Hi. I'll be sealing part of the subfloor that had some cat urine odor. Bleach was recently used on part of it. How many days must I wait before I can paint or seal over it? Are there bleach residues that will interfere with the sealer?
Technically you can probably paint and seal now but I would give things a chance to breath before sealing things up. You would never mix ammonia and chlorine together to wash floors I hope since the gas can be toxic to say nothing of the stench. You are, in a way, mix the ammonia and cat urine with bleach though in trying to irridicate your current problem. An enzymatic solution might be a better approach next time.
if you want to get rid of pet urine odor use white vinegar.
