painting paneling with a sprayer?

So I have a bunch of wood paneling in my basement. Well, proper tongue and groove boards actually. They are primed and ready to go.

I have a question as to how well a paint sprayer would work to paint the paneling. The local shops rent 5xx airlessco sprayers.

When I primed the boards, I used BIN and when I rolled the bin was thin enough to cover into the grooves. The thicker ben-moore paint I am using is not. I would rather not have to brush each groove if painting with a sprayer will work to paint the grooves.

Will this work for me? Minimal taping required ceiling and walls same color unoccupied with bare concrete slab floors.

A sprayer will work well. Do it in several thinner coats. Add floetrol to the latex paint for it to spray better. Do not thin the paint with water.

This is actually a good situation for spraying. If you wanted to roll it, a thicker nap cover---1" to 1.25"---would probably do the trick too although you might have to follow behind with brush just to make sure. If you spray it, Floetrol is definitely great stuff. I always add to semi-gloss for painting trim too.
