Hey everyone, I'm looking to rent an area for my business and it's a bit of a fixer upper. The most recent tenants were using the area for band practice and they would spray paint the walls and now that I plan on taking over the area, I'd like to get rid of it. Some of the walls were white with graffiti sprayed over and some was painted brick with graffiti over it. I'm looking for the best way to wait over the graffiti with out it bleeding through. Thanks!
If it is spray paint- it won't bleed ( which is chemically coming through your paint).
Your issues are adhesion ( if its shiny), and coverage- meaning making it go away.
Id hit the shiny real quick with a sanding sponge, then prime the whole thing with a bonding primer / sealer like Zinsser 123, Glidden Gripper, BM Fresh Start etc. Primers are not meant to have great coverage though- might need 2 coats of a quality finish paint on top.
