painting over repaired areas on drywall

I have areas on my walls that were spackle patched and then a sealer was used on the patched areas before they could get sanded is there a way to fix this?:(

Who did that? Sanding primed patches is a bit difficult. If they're really rough you can take some 60 or 80 grit paper, sand the heavy stuff out and then skim coat them smooth. Or, you can just skim coat them if they're not too rough.

Agree. Use a solid hand sander, not a sanding sponge to get it flat. A sponge will just round it off. Actually shouldn't be too hard to correct. But I see this mistake done by homeowners all the time.
