painting over knockdown.


Hello,
I just had knockdown paint put in my bath room,what is the best paint I should use over it so it will not start to fall apart.

Assuming the walls were suitably primed in the process I would use a nice quality Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams latex semi-gloss. Plan on two coats. Use a roller cover with a thick enough nap to cover whatever texture was added. For semi even on flat walls I use at least 3/4" nap.
