kenjan75 Newbie   Join Date: Sep 2010 Posts: 1	painting over imitation wood paneling. Which type of Kilz primer (and how many coats?) should I use? I want to end up with "egg-shell white."

Matthewt1970 Member     Join Date: Sep 2008 Posts: 1,481	painting over imitation wood paneling. Neither. I would use Zinsser Low Odor oil then an eggshell latex. Kilz oil is a stail blocker and will knock you on your butt and Kilz latex is only good for drywall.

I want to end up with "egg-shell white." USE BIN SHELLAC PRIMER. Seals back anything, and is fast drying. then use a good eggshell paint on top.
