Painting New Roof Shingles to match old ones?
We had to replace some asphalt shingles on our roof. None of the new shingles we could find match the old color we had. We had no choice but to move ahead with putting new shingles on that section with a different color than we had before. But now that it's done it looks horrible. We can't afford a new roof right now.
One idea we had to fix this was to paint the new shingles. The issue is that in order to match the new ones with the old ones we need to add color flakes or color chips to the paint in order to match the speckle of the old shingles.
Can anyone recommend a roof paint or other exterior paint that has an adhesive in it that would hold the color flakes? Any other advice on painting the shingles or matching the colors is welcome.
