Painting half of a wall
I'm repainting the interior walls of my garage base white, latex, eggshell finish. For various reasons, on one wall, I had to paint one half at a time. Now that I'm painting the second half, wondering if there is a way to blend where the new meets the previously repainted? After the first coat, the color matches fine but there is a line at the transition that is a different sheen.

It's a garage so I'm not going to any great lengths to fix this -- just wondering if there is an easy pro trick that I'm not aware of.

You went beyond good painting procedeure; you will not get good results. Consider a wood molding strip in that area. You could intentionally use two colors if you do that.

You could do another rolling of the complete wall. A thin coat will do.

If it is a really big wall, and you don't have enough paint, then you could roll over the middle area and just try to feather it in. Comes down to technique, and you could improve it, but ideally you want to roll the whole wall at once.
