Painting Front Door Query?

Hi-just moved into our house, we need to paint our front door and cannot make up our minds whether you should paint both the exterior and interior of door? The colour it is already - white. We want to paint it black. I want to paint both inside and out black but my husband says it should stay white on the inside. Can anyone who is a painter by trade help and confirm what way is the correct way - it will help settle an agrument!!! Thanks

Painting Front Door Query?

Your both correct. It is all a matter of choice. Now if your planning on splitting the color there is a rule of how to paint the edges, jam edge vs outer swing edge.Interior side of door edge should be painted nearer the door knob.Exterior door edge should be painted on the jam /hinge side. Hope this helps your debate.

Painting Front Door Query?

After ten years of marriage there is only one way my husband and I can settle debates like this.

Rock - Paper - Scissors
