Painting floor molding

What type of paint should be used on floor molding (pine quarter round specially), in a tile kitchen or bath. The last stuff I used is now peeling off because it gets wet when the floors are mopped. I believe the type used before was a high gloss white enamel, and the molding was primed before hand. Want to redo, but want to use a paint to prevent this happening again.
Thanks for any help.

The problem is not so much the paint, but the fact that water is getting under the quarter round. I doubt the underside of the trim is sealed. The water gets under it, is wicked into the bare wood, and then pulled through the front taking the paint with it. I faced a similar problem with quarter in a bath, and where it butted the tub on both ends there was continual peeling. I caulked the quarter to the tile floor and that solved the problem. You'll need to bring the paint out over the caulk by 1/16th to protect it and prevent it from collecting dirt. Either that or pull it and replace with a new non-wood, synthetic, quarter that will not absorb water.

In the kitchen you might want to use vinyl cove molding, and in the bathroom a vertical bull nose tile. These will hold up to wet mopping much better.

For this to happen you would have to be using way to much water when washing that floor.
