Painting Exterior Stone??

I have gray stone on the outside of my house. I was thinking of trying to paint it white, but afraid it would make it look cheap or cheesy... Any advice???

I agree with Chris. Painting stone or brick is the beginning of a maintenance headache for all owners from then on. In addition to being
less than desirable in appearance, it can possibly affect the value of the property.

It's maintainence free. Painting it will make it no longer.
