Painting exterior of house
I have some general questions on painting the exterior of a house.

First the paint. I have four choices in mind that I was going to use

any thoughts on these?

more questions...
I will need to scrape and sand some area of my house, after I prime these areas how long can I wait until I paint? Do I need to paint as soon as the primer is dry or can I wait a week or so....and if so what if it rains during that week.

How hot is too hot to paint?...I have heard that 90 degrees is the absolute hotest you want to paint. However I have contacted contractors that said they will paint up to 100 degrees. I have also been told that I shouldn't paint above 80 degrees as well....which is it?

How windy is to windy? mild breeze, no wind at all, or occasional gust?

First time I will be painting my house. I don't want to spend the quotes I got (avg. 2k) so am willing to do it myself, just want to do it right the first time.

any comments, answers or otherwise would help..

I have used all of those
I can recommend the good quality Pittsburgh
I can not recommend the other three

You can paint the next day, and up to a few weeks depending on weather and primer

Below 90 is good
With a good quality paint and the right touch you can push it

No or a light breeze is good
With a good quality paint and the right touch you can push it

Don't skimp on the brushes or roller sleeves, good ones make all the difference

Pittsburgh's Timeless is the way to go if you want top of the line 100% acrylic exterior paint. It fills small voids and crack in wood like a caulk, has a "lifetime" warrentee, and is self priming saving you that extra step. That being said, the stuff isn't cheap. As a painting contractor, we get it for around $40 per gallon. It is the product that we used to paint the Porter/Pittsburgh store in my area.
