Painting a deck

I have a deck with pressure treated 2x4. I would like to paint it a solid color, probably two-tone paint scheme. I've never painted a deck before this is all very new to me. What should i do first and what brands and techiniques are the best to use and do.

Painting a deck

What type of a deck are you painting? If you are painting one that is exposed to the elements it will flake off in lest than a year. Consider a stain such as Sikkens or Cabot. They have solid colored stains that you will be very happy with.
