painting dark green wall.....primer?

Yeah that too. I don't usually clean rollers, so for the roller cover, disposable tray liner, brush cleaning, and opening/closing cans, it's about $4-5 and 10 minutes every time I switch paint.

OK I guess i'm wrong, it's better to 3 coat with $50 paint than to use a $19 tinted primer. And it's better to go back the 3rd day for the final coat, when I can prime and 1 coat in 1 day and final coat the next. And the $4 or $5 you must not use drops and your driving time for the extra day is not worth anything.
Guys I agree in most cases but for some colors I still prime.

3days. Lol. 2 coats aura as fast as I can put them up, done. Or even Regal. Or even Ultra Spec.

New tricks>old dogs.

You are talking maybe 1 in 20 times of covering dark colors that it would need a 3rd coat, if that. Even less chance if it's the $50 paint and you can easily do 3 coats in one day, not 2 or 3.

First, the $4 or $5 is not my total cost, it's the difference in cost between cleaning rollers and pans, and not.

As to which is more expensive, it's not as simple as you wrote, so you'll have to think about it more. I'll give you a hint. If a room has 500 sf, then it cannot be coated with 1 gallon - it takes 2. However it does not take 4 gallons to do 2 coats - it only takes 3. It only takes 4 gallons to do 3 coats.

2 gallons of primer, and 3 gallons of finish can cost the same or more than 4 gallons of finish paint.

And you definitely don't need to be using $50 paint either. $19 primer and $32 paint - do the math on that one and you'll see what I mean.
