painting concrete floor

I work for a company that has a 30,000 square foot warehouse. We painted a large portion of the floor.

We used Carbit concrete floor paint. You have to mix the epoxy in with the paint and let it sit 5 minutes prior to application. Protective goggles, gloves, ventilator and cover suit are necessary as the paint fumes are terrible and it does not come off of clothing. If it touches your skin, say goodbye to that layer of skin. It takes 24-48 hours to dry. We did ours on the Friday before Labor Day if I remember so it had plenty of time to dry.

Prep the floor with a degreaser, and make sure it is impeccably cleaned and dry. I can't stress enough that all the dirt, oil and dust needs to be cleaned off. Even if the concrete is new, still clean it thoroughly.

The paint is fairly priced and I believe they ship across the US. They are located in Chicago.

Hope this helps.
