Painting around bay window on a slope

I am looking for some ladder tips/tricks for working on a side of my house that has a bay window and a sloping hill. I have a 16' extension ladder and want to scrape and paint my house. I thought about possibly building a platform to support but wanted to see if anyone had any advice. Thanks.

just some quick thoughts .the picture helps and i might be wrong but i think your going to need a 20 footer. also use a good ladder that has claw type feet to really dig into the ground .also don't be afraid to dig up some sod to foot your ladder .also a helper to secure ladder .without seeing it up close and personal,i think i could get it all with a 16 and 20 foot ladder . ladder mitts help ladder stay in place .and always watch for over head electric.

That type siding is pretty fragile, when I have to do it I use on of these on the lader to hold me back from the wall and the feet spreat out the load where the ladder touches the wall.

I also have a ladder that I installed adjustable legs to. It have big sq. feet on it that swivel to be used on rough ground. I go mine at Lowes. Real simple to install and use.

This will help. It shows it on a roof but you can use it almost anywhere. It's called a Ladder Pivot. I also agree that a 16' will probably be short.
Latex Primer: Good for Drywall, that's about it.
Behr Paint: The plastic buckets are good, that's about it.
