Painting after removing Wallpaper

I removed 3 layers of wallpaper in a 95 yr. old house's living and dining rooms. It also required extensive patching to the plaster. I want to use an oil based primer to seal the patches, and Gardz to seal the wallpaper adhesive. My question is do I need both? If so, what sequence should I use to apply them?
Thanks:confused1:

No, one or the other will work, no need for both:no:

I removed as much as the paste as I could, but I want to proceed on the assumption that there is still glue some I missed.

There will always be some you missed( well almost always) but you should really try to get as much off as possible before using either Gardz or oil primer, not both.
