Painted - No Primer!

Oh no! - I had mold in my bright orange kitchen . My super had to repaint the walls in my kitchen and bathroom , but he did not PRIME!
He painted orange hign gloss over hign gloss -

What is going to happen to my walls??

Am I in big trouble?

How long will the paint last?

He will not come back to do the job over . I can not afford to pay someone to re-do the walls .

Will I be ok for a few years ?

I am in a panic!!

Did the walls get washed?

Chemicals to remove mold may have dulled the gloss to the point that the new paint will stick.

I'd say it will be ok for a couple years anyway.

Nothing we can do about rental properties and the way they are maintained. Just curious, how did you get bright orange in an apt.?

Cool

Painted - No Primer!

Thanks for emailing -- ok I will be able to sleep tonight

I wanted the bright orange kitchen . It's fun & happy

I have 6 rooms all painted a different color

I have been here for 10 years - my super painted the walls for me .

I just noticed in my back room there is some mold around the window sill and some on the ceiling -- but not much at all .
Can I clean it up myself ? I would rather. I do not want to have the whole room painted over .
I can paint the window sill

Next time you go to the grocery store, pick up a cleaner that removes mold. The directions should tell you how to use it without damaging paint.

If someone e-mailed you, it wasn't me.

of course you can clean mold, but mold is everpresent in the air and will return unless you repair the mositure problems.
