Painted Mess help

So i would like to get my cement porch repainted before this winter, but the people who had my house before pulled up out door carpet. They left all the glue and pad that stuck to the cement and just painted over the whole mess. So i want to get back to cement before i paint it. I have been scraping the paint but that is taking way too long to get it up and too many blades. does anybody know any thing that could make it faster to get the paint and glue extras off the cement than just scraping it?

You can rent a floor grinder.

The grinder would be the best approach I can think of but be warned that they are not for the timid and by the time you rent one, buy the rather expensive abrasives and so forth you might be well advised to have someone come out and do it for you. Look in the book for a company that does industrial floors. They are scraping glue off concrete all the time. Maybe they will have someone who wants a little project on the side.
