paint for wood floor ?

i am putting down new sheathing on my floor. i do not want to put the finished flooring down yet, as it would get damaged during the continued remodeling. but, i would like something down. so i am thinking paint is it. but what kind ?
it doesn't have to last forever, or look the greatest.

thanx

paint for wood floor ?

Benjamin Moore's Porch, Floor and Patio paints will do the trick. The oil-based is urethane reinforced and the waterbased is epoxy reinforced. Plan on two coats. It comes in oodles of factory colors and I believe can be custom tinted as well. Most floor paints are self-priming. Some do recommend a sealer/primer though. Check the specs.

With a little creativity and some painters tape you can come up with some nice patterns and things if there is a chance you might have to live with painted floors for awhile.

Good floor paint is not especially cheap so you need to decide whether it is worth it. Whatever you do, don't attempt box store crap. It will not hold up.
