Paint tinting

I have five gallons of paint - tinted at store but has a pinkish cast that shows on wall. What tint would kill the pinkish cast and make it show more tan

Did you buy it at a paint store? Take it back and ask them to tweak it for you. Without knowing the tint base, type of paint and so forth it would be dangerous to advise from afar what you should add.

The pink could actually be red that didn't mix well with the tint base. Had a gallon of paint like that from SW once. Stirred and stirred and still had pink in it. Took it back to the store and the manager said I would be stirring forever and it wouldn't mix unless it was put back on the shaker. Take it back and have it tweaked.

I would tweak with Green.
This only works to a point though...

It depends tho....what's the ACTUAL formula on your can?
Is there Red, Orange, or Red-Oxide in it?

Choosing color is a B*tch ain't it!

YES, green nuetralizes red. So if it's too pink, that's cause it has too much fast red or red oxide. SO, put in a DROP or two of thalo (sp?) green at a time! Just take baby steps. It should even out the finish to a neutral beige/tan. TOO MUCH thalo green and now you have green.
