paint suggestion


I have an aluminum screen room in FL, with channels, tubing and some flat panels. I would like to spray paint this with my HVLP gun. I have limited spray experience and have only used Tractor Supply co. Equipment paint with hardener.

I like this paint and it holds up well, but does not come in any shade of brown. Any suggestions on another brand of paint of equal quality?

This is already brown so has a factory coating on it, so assume I do not need to prime it.

I would suggest Sherwin or Benny I know SW has a good paint for alum. but I can't remember the name. And I'm sure BM does too. Just stick with a good brand.

Got a picture.
Forget about trying to spray it. You'll spend more time masking, cleaning up over spray and cleaning the gun then painting.
Clean first and use Sherwin Williams Super paint or Duration.

+1 for SW.They have several good paints for aluminum, just ask the rep. about your specific need.I agree with JC, I wouldn't spray.Make sure the alum. isn't chalking before you paint.

paint suggestion


Lowes carried the brown paint in rattle cans to match the brown tubing a while back,in fact i still have a can.
