Paint stripping - acrylic over oil based enamel.

Hullo There
I have a front door. The colour was changed before my time ( a few years).
The door wasn't cleaned (my guess) and the acrylic (thin, one coat) peels off fairly easily in places. Other parts where there is details is harder to get to. The solvent enamel underneath is still in excellent condition and the only reason I think it was painted was to change the colour - and was done badly. I want to remove all the acrylic top coat and retain the solvent enamel underneath, with as little damage as possible to the solvent enamel. In some areas (around the door handle), largish sheets of paint came away, almost like sellotape, or cling film. There is 20% of the door where it is stuck pretty ok. Is there a technique for doing this. ie is there a paint stripper that only attacks acrylic and not solvent based paint. Or is there a wipe on, wipe off within 5 minutes method? Anyone?

Please photo. This was mainly done with my fingernail.

Keep on using the fingernails or better yet a paint scrapper. Try some denatured alcohol

You really need to scuff sand and then prime with an oil based primer before you go over oil with latex. At the very least you need to use a latex bonding primer but oil is still better.
Latex Primer: Good for Drywall, that's about it.
Behr Paint: The plastic buckets are good, that's about it.
