paint stripping

could someone advice me about a good paint stripper that I could use indoors and that doesn`t smell too bad as I have a son who could get irritated with the fumes(asthmatic).I am unable to take the wood to be stripped outside as it is the stair bannister at the bottom of the stairs which is to be done.I will add that the paint is not a high gloss and in fact I think it may be water based(I don`t know what kind it is as it was applied by the lady who resided here before me).
Any help with this would be much appreciated.:)

A company called Parks used to sell an odorless mineral spirits that I used to clean tub walls with that would get liquid nails on them from the install. I'm not sure how well this would work on paint! If the co. still exists maybe they have other odorless products.

Try right here.

Pro got it. I have used several of these and they are good, not quite as good as they claim and a second coat has always been required for perfect results but they are among the best.
