Paint, stain, primer? for covered porch.

Yes, solid stain would be better than paint. Just remember that any type of SOLID coating on a deck floor doesn't hold up as well as something like a semi-transparent stain. The solids in a stain or paint lay on the surface and are susceptible to wear from foot traffic, pets, etc. As stated before, you are in pretty good shape no matter what you use since the porch is basically shielded from the elements.
