Paint a room and ceiling - Newbie painter
Would like to ask how to paint a room and ceiling properly. I never painted before, please bear with me.:laughing:
My estimate, the room was painted 10 years ago. Paint, I think is faded already. But, has not chirp or anything. And, which will be the first one to paint? The ceiling? or the walls? Will I use a sandpaper first to sand the ceiling and wall? Just light sanding? Then, what is the next step? I do plan to use ready-mixed paint and odorless one. Please advise. I will post pictures as soon as I had the time. |
Celing first, then walls.Just be sure they are clean first and if for some reason any are semi gloss you would need to lightly sand first then clean off all dust I hope you are not buying your paint from any of the big box stores, bad idea.

lowes, home depot:no: |
I'm guessing it's a long way from the Philippines to the nearest Lowes or HD!
He means buy good quality paint from a dedicated paint store. And my error on my first comment; plenty of Home Depots in the Philippines. |
This is the paint I am going to use:

If you're so worried about making a mistake, save up some $$$ and hire a contractor. That's how my old room was painted, and it still looks pretty decent today.
