What makes the sleeve want to keep work its way off the roller???

A cheap roller frame will do this. Spluge the $6 or so at HD, and get yourself a Wooster Sherlock. That roller sleeve won't go anywhere.

Sirwired....thanks for the advice. I got a Wooster Sherlock and am using Purdy White Dove sleeves. It makes an incredible difference. Just didn't realize there was such a difference in paint tools, but then I'm fairly new at this. I've only painted a room or so in past, now I'm doing my whole house inside....on room 4 downstairs. (4 more to go downstairs...lol)

Also got Purdy angle cut brushes for trim. BIG difference in previous brushes I've used.
