paint peeling off walls
ive painted my bathroom a long time ago and i had some hard to resolve problems. Well 2 hours later right after i painted my wall in the bathroom i noticed there were air bubbles forming on the walls and then later they peeled off. So i decided to paint the wall over again..ugh yes i know (huge mistake). And somehow i got it to stop peeling after repainting over and over again. Well that was a long time ago now i want to change the color to a light yellow and when i put the samples on the wall the problem occured again. HOW DO I GET THIS TO STOP!!??

i dont know what else to say other than there are air bubbles they are wet ones and they pop and then they peel and it drives me crazy. Its in the bathroom, there are no problems with the shower or toilet or whatever, the bathroom is perfectly fine i dont know what your questions are about my problem. CAN SOMEONE who is experianced or knows alot about painting please help i cant have peeled paint forever.

Sounds to me like the walls were not cleaned and prepped properly. The paint is not adhering to whatever is on the wall. I would suggest lightly sanding the wall and put on a good quality primer or BIN. If the walls are rough from the paint 'holes' give the areas a light skim coat of mud and prime.

Got any pictures?

What's kind of paint is the original base coat? What kind of paint is the new top coat? How did you prepare the surface? Did you prime it? How old is the home?

Without this data I'm simply guessing that you used a paint incompatable with the previous surface. (ex: latex over high sheen oil)

I'd be taking it all off & paint over
Even if it means new drywall

Are the walls drywall or plaster?
