Paint peeling off dresser that was just painted

Help! I just painted a dreser wtih latex paint and after drying - it is marking and easy to peel off. I prepped the dresser by using TSP, used steel wool, tack clothed, and then primed beofre painting.
Is there another product I can paint over top make the surface more durable. Thanks

Seems like you used cheap paint. But nothing painted over a bad paint job will fix it.

Two questions:
1) Did you rinse the TSP? It leaves behind an adhesion-harming film if you do not.
2) What primer did you use?

Unfortunately, you usually cannot coat a topcoat with something to enhance adhesion. Durability, yes; adhesion, no. There are some rare exceptions, but this isn't one of them.

Try Stripping the old paint coat and refinishing it with a new paint.

In the case of furniture and cabinets, improper stripping can raise the grain of the wood, requiring extensive sanding. Paint stripping by applying a chemical substance to dissolve the old paint is usually the preferred method on fine wood.

Once it's had a chance to work, you can simply scrape or wipe away the old coat and prepare the wood for your next finishing choice.

Goodluck with it!
