Paint peeling after wallpaper removal

Our bathroom was wallpapered and about 8 years ago the wallpaper was stripped and then painters prepped the room and painted. The paint has begun to peel off the wall in the last year or so. What do we need to do to prepare the walls to paint again?

Paint peeling after wallpaper removal

Scrape and sand any/all loose/ill-adhering paint
Prime with a nice penetrating sealer like Zinsser's Gardz

Paint peeling after wallpaper removal

FYI, the cause is possibly leftover wallpaper glue that you reactivated when painting.

And yes, Gardz is the solution to your problem. It "locks down" the leftover glue (among many other cool properties) and will let you repaint.
