Paint options for Garage drywall with no texture

Hi,

I'm planning to get drywall installed on walls and ceiling in the garage. About 1 1/2 of the wall is already drywalled because it's next to a living space. Drywall joints will be taped/mudded but there will be no texture applied. So, it will be probably a level 2/3 finish.

I'm leaning towards 1 coat of SW drywall primer and 2 coats of Superpaint for walls + Eminence for ceiling. Is that a good choice? Should I skip the primer, use a different primer or different type of paint etc?

Thanks in advance

Your choices of paint are good, I would not skip the primer though.

Good Luck!

It's a garage.....

One coat of primer....then I would suggest using a semi or high gloss exterior paint.

The only texture on my garage is what the heavy nap roller gave it.
