To Paint OR NOT To Paint??

Flower bed edging

I am getting my house ready for sale and I am looking to make changes to the flower beds/trimming around the immediate front of home. I have purchased (what I call) railroad ties ( 4x4x8's) and cedar lawn edging. The banister on the front stoop and all the trimming on the house is all white and the home is a light grey vinyl siding......

My question is - Should I paint the wood trimming I have purchased white or leave it natural for best curb appeal??????

Would appreciate any advice anyone can give me.....

Thanks!

Personal taste only, but if you paint them white they will stand out in stark contrast to the greenery around them. I think leaving them natural is best.

Railroad ties suck. They will decay and you will be tearing them out in 10 years. Brick or concrete is better.

Since she is selling the place I don't think she will be there in 10 years

I leave my PT timbers natural
