Paint looks patchy after painting?
I thought I would take the plunge and post on these forums! I moved in to a new apartment and wanted to paint over the plain white walls. No matter how many times I paint the same wall, it still looks really patchy when the light reflects off it. I must have put about 4 coats of paint on it and it's not getting any better! Help... please :D

Paint looks patchy after painting?
It sounds as if the plaster wasn't 'sealed' by the builders. Have you tried using a mixture of water and glue... this should provide a seal for you. Ask at your local store as you can buy it ready made. HTH.
