Paint for kitchen
I'm redoing my Moms kitchen, she does alot of cooking. What type of paint can I use that won't be such a magnet for grease?

Thanks in advance!

No paint is going to repel grease. Just use a quailty paint store paint with a higher gloss so it's scrubable.
Installing or running a fan over the stove that exhaust outside not just recycles the air would sure help.

Aura Kitchen & Bath is supposed to be very scrubable even in flatter sheens, if you're not ok with the shiny stuff.

Aura is pretty amazing stuff and even the flat is extremely washable. Acrylic semi-gloss or even gloss in lighter shades is common for cabinets. Just make sure you are using paint store and not box store paint. Make sure to apply two coats to get a good thickness and prime really clean and prepped surfaces of course. No kitchen finishes are going to look like much or hold up for long if you are not intent on getting all the grease off to start.

Although Melamine paint was originally designed for painting over laminates it hovers around being almost popular for general kitchen cabinets where a durable high gloss finish is desired. It is high gloss and very washable. Its drawbacks are that it is a bit hard to apply and it tends to chip.

I have used oil based quite a bit in kitchens for the very reasons stated here the washability and I have always used a semi or gloss. I have never used the paint recommend here in a kitchen but if these other guys have it seems like a good alternative to the odor and mess of oil base.

White-colored is still the most popular paint color choice for your kitchen, according to Kitchen Designer Ideas. Simply white surfaces let the cabinets, kitchen counter and flooring stand out in region area.
