Paint with a grit texture????

Hello all,

I'm going to paint the master bedroom soon, I'm sold on Benjamin Moore paints, what is everyone's thought's on a textured paint for walls? I know they make something that gets added to the paint for a textured look. I figure this would hide any imperfections on the wall, from nail holes, repaired sections where ancors were installed.

Thanks,
Sellncars

It's the last resort..... try fixing the mistakes and useing flat paint...
It will cost a bunch to remove / repaire the texture later on.

I've used it and HATED it. I am a professional painter and couldnt get the cut line and roll to look even and blend. It was uneven on the walls and like the last answerer said....after you decide to change it~ the hell you (or I) will go through!

Dont do "quick fixes" ..they just make it all really bad for us...the contractors, who you call when your sick of it all:yes:

Ps- I was under the impression that this paint was made primarily for spraying, but I could be wrong.

You'd be incorrect
I'd say it's possible it may obscure some small taping discrepancies or slightly bad repair jobs, but no it doesn't hide any imperfections etc....

And 3, after you decide it doesn't do what you want, or looks bad, or you keep rubbing against it and have burns on your shoulders and rash on your shirts from it, it's a bear to repair and make it flat again
