Paint fix on kitchen cabinets
About 2 months ago I painted my kitchen cabinets with 2 coats of an antique white oil base topped by a brown glaze. I was trying to obtain an antiqued worn look. What I got was more of a dirty dingy look. Mainly because I think I applied too much glaze. Is there a way I can touch these up or apply another glaze of a white tint to remedy this problem without having to start over? Your help would be appreciated.

Paint fix on kitchen cabinets
I am not sure that would work:
(Re-create some of your problem colour situation on a trial surface) Use some alkyd glaze tinted with your antique white. Tint the glaze lightly. (5-6 parts glaze, one paint) and go over problem areas, or everywhere. It might not look right but you may want to give it a shot before re-doing everything. |
