Paint color recommendation

My living/dining room walls will be vanilla. I have white crown molding/trims and am trying to decide whether to paint the ceiling white or eggshell. Does painting one color over the other make the room look larger?

My opinion is that white makes it look larger and more open.

I'm leaning towards the white also. Thanks!

Light colors definitely convey a sense of openness, but the difference between white and something very similar to white would be negligible.

white on the ceiling for sure. it's the walls you can lightly tint. i'm also a fan of light colored open living areas.

I think maybe the eggshell ceiling will bring out the crown molding more, but the white ceiling will give it a more crisper look?
