I want to paint a very large wood round table with 4 benches and 2 large wooden benches with backs. What color would you paint them and the steps. Do I sand,prime,paint & and then put sealant.?
Please advise....I have no idea what color to paint them..

You are really the only one who can answer what color to paint them. Do you want them to match your house?? Is it brick and if so what colors are in the brick?? If it has siding what color is your siding. Do you want to be playful with the colors?? Do you want Black, White, Red or what. You need to sit back and envision what you want the area to look like once you are done. Have you seen pics of patios that you loved in magizines or online?? a neighbor?? No one else can tell you what will make you happy.

As far as the process of painting, I thought I knew what I was doing until I started reading some of the recommendations from others on this site. I will stand back and leave that part to them. If I see that they are leading you astray, I will jump in.

It would be helpful if you tell us what is on the furniture now as far as finishes goes. Then you will get better information on how to do the painting itself.
