Orange Peel over Orange peel
 

1979 home with original orange peel walls.... the texture doesn't look so good, can I spray orange peel on top of it?

I've seen it done before with mixed results. The old texture actually "telegraphed" thru the new texture and made the walls look very busy. If you can put up with that sort of look on your walls, go for it.
