Okay to wash wood treated with jasco termin-8 wood preservative?
We have a repaired stair with a stringer treated with jasco termin-8 clear wood preservative. I am not certain if it is zinc or copper based.
I've been waiting for the wood to dry before painting, but it is still sticky after 10 days. It's getting dirty, so I plan to wash the whole stairs and repaint.
Is it okay to wash the treated surface with something like Krud cutter? I would not want to wash the preservative out of the wood. Also should the treated surface be primed?
I would not wash any surface not fully cured
I suspect you have many weeks of curing ahead of you
(three weeks would be a min.)
