oil to latex error

I painted our front door with high gloss latex enamel and I think that I should have primed it forst. It is a very old house and likely it was oil base paint that I painted over. It lookes awful and is peeling in a few small spots. What can I do to fix it now that it is done?

Sand it all off.

Go to the paint store and speak to someone to find the right kind of primer and how to properly prep. the door surface before adding the primer.....

(It's not the end of the world, mistakes happen, but can easily be fixed - you could use a palm sander to make your work a little easier)

Yes, you'll need to scrape off what you can, then sand the rest smooth

Ask at your local paint shop (not a big box) what they carry to do your project properly
I suspect it will be an oil-based enamel underbody (primer), then your latex enamel paint
Depending on the shop and what the door is made out of, it may be a slightly different combo

That's what I was afraid of! Thanks for clarifying...
