Im thinking again " i really like the look of plain old pine wood just leaving it natural color . if i decide to leave it natural is there a certain sealer i should use maybe something that makes the pine really pop ? ive got jeld wen 6 panel interior doors if that gives you an idea of what im working with .
Personally, I would give them a coat of sanding sealer and give them a good sanding with 120 or 150, depending on the roughness. Then apply three coats of a quality clear coat, with a fine sanding and tack cloth between coats. If you want them to look "clear" forever, use a latex coating. If you would like them to develop an aged ambered look, use oil.
