Just a thought although it sound's like you're on the right track. Remember to check your insulation and seal your wall at floor level before you paint. My kitchen walls and corners are horrendous for drafts and cold spots that I can't reach right now. Where I am its -30 today
You should be able to put two coats on right away. Then you won't have to cut around everything when the cabinet installation is complete. Your installers should be careful enough not to marr it up. Some darker color paints don't harden up for weeks afterwards. I had some California paint that got some dirt on it and when I went to wipe it off a week later the paint came off with the sheen and all. It was so noticeable that I had to repaint the wall. Talked to the paint rep and he said it just takes longer for that color and other dark ones with this particular paint to harden, even weeks.
