Need help with tape/Spackle repair....

In my newer (2004) master bedroom, we have cathedral ceilings. There are two joint's at the top, I believe each is a 22 degree angle?
Anyway, when the guy did all of the taping, he warned me that the tape on those angles my not "hold" but that was normal as you could not put compound on the tape like you normally would on other joint's, just on the edges.
Well, almost all of the edges are now coming up. I am assuming I need to rip it down and re-tape it, but do I tape it like any other joint or not?
I think I get the run around (all his other work was great) but this seems odd.

Is that the Apex or ridge? If not, then I would just cut out the old and in with the new.

Maybe I'm missing something but I see no reason why mud couldn't be put under and on the tape. What difference does the angle make?

....uh....yeah...regardless of any angle or height, the proper way is the proper way
He must not have had a taping knife that would fit or something

Tape it like any other joint

I would use the powder mix joint compound, it is much stronger than the all purpose premixed joint compound.IMO
