Need help with kitchen color

We are going to be building a house in the fall and I am trying to pick colors for my kitchen. This isn't the kitchen but something I played with on a paint site. We plan on having Espresso cupboard so this pic gives a good idea. I don't know if I should go with the Sage green or the Maple Syrup color. The maple Syrup color in my pic isn't the exact shade just closest i could find cause is a custom color someone I know had mixed at the paint store and I have the codes for it so I attached a couple of pics of it on their wall.

This is what the layout of the actual room will be (this is someone else's) What they have white is what would be whichever color. My cupboards will be a different stain and my appliances will be stainless steel. It's an open concept so the living rooms is where you see brown walls in this pic. Where there is brown walls in this pic ours are going to be brown as well just lighter.

I would go with the light tan colour myself.

The colour is in the same family as the dark wood, so I would stick with that.

Sage green......so last year.........lol
but if you like it, go for it........it's your kitchen.
