Need Counsel on Refinishing Furniture

My wife and I are starting a Furniture re-finishing business. I was wondering what kind of sprayer I should use for Laquer and Enamel products. we want that professional "Pottery Barn" style finish on some pieces then a "Hand Painted" look on others. If you can provide ANY kind of advice PLEASE respond!!

Just wondering- you're starting a furniture refinishing biz... ever done it?
Like so many biz- helps to know what you're doing going in.
If you have, these should be basic that you would know.
If not, maybe not the right time to start.
just a thought. might be wrong..

Well we have been doing it for 2 years now but we would like to take it to a new level. For instance we started using Home Depot paint and now have moved on to Laquers and enamels, with Graco spray guns. So we do know the basics but like I said, want to take it to a higher level of quality.

It's kind of a jump from HD paints to furniture grade lacquers.
I would suggest getting a quality ( read not from box store) HVLP 4 stage turbine set up. Can handle waterbornes and oils nicely, dials down for small projects.
Once you master that you might be ready for more complicated finishes.

Talk to cab shops- get to see/ know their set ups and techniques.
Good luck!

Thanks so much! I have heard a lot of people mention HVLP sprayers, so I will definitely look into those.
