Matt/Silk Paint Finish

I really like the matt/silk finish that people sometimes put on cars, as in the picture below. It looks so nice. Is there a way to replicate that look on an interior wall. I was thinking some sort of glaze would have to be used, but I was unsure. Any help would be appreciated.

Matt/Silk Paint Finish

The biggest obstacle to a finish like that is the fact that a wall will never be as smooth as the sheet metal on your car. Certainly you can make a wall look pretty nice by skim coating it, and then spraying a high-leveling paint like Sherwin's Cashmere, but that is about as close as you are going to get.

Some paint does come in a sheen called "Matte", but it won't look exactly like that.
