matching textures in 1953 house

Am doing repairs to sheetrock and am having trouble matching textures. I know what it isn't (sand, knockdown, popcorn, swirl, crow's foot) but I can't figure out what it is. Has low bumps (spacing is not tight) and has some short lines reminding me of crow's foot. Bought a looped roller out of some type of plastic and that wasn't it, although the guy at Sherwin Williams said that was probably going to work. This house had major foundation repair and large cracks everywhere. Now I have to repair the repairs that some idiot contractor fixed without any texture attempt. He just left the smooth tape repair and not too smooth at that. My specialty is Bath Remodels and my client was pleased and wants me to keep on with other repairs. I am good with texturing, but limited in my experience. Any ideas? Is there a place where I can find photos of all the different textures and the methods of applications? Have found photos of current popular ones, but...not the oldies.
