Masking Tape

Should I remove masking tape wet or after paint is dry?

I sure hope you do not mean real masking tape was used and really meant painters tape.
I let it sit about 1/2 hour after painting and peel it off.
It's important to peel it off the right way. You peel it back and fold it over it's self and peel it off slowly. Never pull it streight away from the wall or your going to peel off the paint under it.

I like to let the paint dry ( usually within an hour or two).
With some paints it also might help to score the the edge with a dull pocket knife or putty knife before pulling. This prevents pull up on the paint edge.

I generally pull masking tape off RIGHT away or immediately after the second coat if one is used.If any paint bleeds between tape and wood trim... it is much easier to clean off than letting paint dry. The idea of using a S H A R P kiife to "score" tape seem between wood trim and walls is a GREAT one. Often times tape will pull paint away from walls where paint is fresh.

There is a reason I said dull. But i've done it a few thousand times.
A sharp blade will cut the tape or wall, not necessarily right at the edge. A dull one will break the edge of the tape.

YMMV
