Looking at an older Diaphram paint sprayer.

This is an older paint sprayer here is the info off the tag on the pump.

THOMAS INDUSTRIES INC.
SPRAYIT DIVISION
SHEBOYGAN, WIS. U.S.A.
115 VOLTS AC
60 CYCLE
3.0 AMPS
AIR CAP 3
SPRAYIT DIAPHRAGM SPRAYER MODEL 600-5

My question is what is the Air Cap 3? I assume this means Air capacity?
Also trying to find out what size tip it can handle and if there is a restriction on the length of hose?

General Question can a Diaphram pump be used to pump water?

Not a fan of diaphragm pumps at all. I prefer Airless.
